तेरी सरणि पूरन दइआला ॥
Terī saraṇ pūran ḏayālā.
तुझ बिनु कवनु करे प्रतिपाला॥१॥
Tujẖ bin kavan kare parṯipālā
कीता लोड़हि सो प्रभ होइ ॥
Kīṯā loṛėh so parabẖ ho▫e.
तुझ बिनु दूजा नाही कोइ ॥
Ŧujẖ bin ḏūjā nāhī ko▫e.
जो जनु सेवे तिसु पूरन काज ॥
Jo jan seve ṯis pūran kāj.
दास अपुने की राखहु लाज
Ḏās apune kī rākẖo lāj.

जलि थलि महीअलि रहिआभरपूरि ॥
Jal thal mahī▫al rahi▫ā bẖarpūr.
निकटि वसै नाही प्रभु दूरि ॥
Nikat vasai nāhī parabẖ ḏūr.
लोक पतीआरै कछू न पाईऐ ॥
Lok paṯī▫ārai kacẖẖū na pā▫ī▫ai.
साचि लगै ता हउमै जाईऐ ॥२॥
Sācẖ lagai ṯā ha▫umai jā▫ī▫ai.

जिस नो लाइ लए सो लागै ॥
Jis no lā▫e la▫e so lāgai.
गिआन रतनु अंतरि तिसु जागै॥
Gi▫ān raṯan anṯar ṯis jāgai.
दुरमति जाइ परम पदु पाए ॥
Ḏurmaṯ jā▫e param paḏ pā▫e.
गुर परसादी नामु धिआए
Gur parsādī nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e

दुइ कर जोड़ि करउ अरदासि ॥
Ḏu▫e kar joṛ kara▫o arḏās.
तुधु भावै ता आणहि रासि ॥
Ŧuḏẖ bẖāvai ṯā āṇėh rās.
करि किरपा अपनी भगती लाइ॥
Kar kirpā apnī bẖagṯī lā▫e.
Jan Nanak prabh sada ḏẖi▫ā▫e
|
I seek Your Sanctuary, O Perfect, Merciful Lord.
Without You, who would cherish and love me?
Whatever God wills, that alone happens.
Without You, there is no other at all.
The humble being serves Him, and so all his works are perfectly successful
O Lord, please preserve the honor of Your slaves.

He is permeating and pervading the water, the land and the sky
God dwells near at hand; He is not far away.
By trying to please other people, nothing is accomplished.
When someone is attached to the True Lord, his ego is taken away.

He alone is attached, whom the Lord Himself attaches.
The jewel of spiritual wisdom is awakened deep within.
Evil-mindedness is eradicated, and the supreme status is attained.
By Guru's Grace, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
