ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੨ ॥ salōk mah 2 . Shalok, Second Mehl:


nānak chintā mat karaho chintā tis hī hēi .


jal mah jant upāian tinā bh rōjī dēi.


ōthai hat n chalaī nā kō kiras karēi .


saudā mūl n hōvaī nā kō laē n dēi .



jīā kā āhār jī khānā ēh karēi .


vich upāē sāirā tinā bh sār karēi .


nānak chintā mat karah chintā tis hī hēi .1.

O Nanak, don't be worried; Waheguru will worry for you

There is life in the water, even they receive their nourishment

There are no stores open there, and no one farms there.

No business is ever transacted there, and no one buys or sells.


Life sustains life; this is what Waheguru has given as food.

He created life in the oceans, and He provides for them as well.

O Nanak, don't be worried, Waheguru will worry for you ||1||

How can I meet Him, O my mother? हउ करि करि थाका उपाव बहुतेरे I am so tired of making all these efforts. नानक गरीब राखहु हरि मेरे Please protect Nanak, the meek one, O my Lord.
